IJN, Bookdoc Ink MoU To Promote Healthcare Service At Fingertips
The initiative is part of the collaboration between IJN and BookDoc to improve the outcomes for health services in the region with the help of mobile application.
IJN chief excecutive officer, Datuk Dr Mohd Azhari Yakub said the mobile apps was aimed at enhancing and promoting cardiac care with the help of new technology.
He said the collaboration was in line with IJN’s road map to extend its cardiac care aggressively to neighbbouring countries such as Thailand and Singapore.
“With this BookDoc, the cardiac specialist would be more accessible to the patients with maximisation of the messaging and emailing connection.
“BookDoc will also assist IJN to optimise the patients and cardiac specialists’ time,” he told reporters after the signing of the memorandum of understanding (MoU) between IJN and BookDoc, here, today.
The MoU was signed by Dr Mohd Azhari and BookDoc founder, Datuk Chevy Beh.
Beh said with the application, IJN would be enable to minimise the waiting time for patients while optimising the work schedule of its specialists.
He hoped the application could improve public access to healthcare services, especially in cardiac care.
“The apps enables doctors to list their practice online, optimise the appointment schedule and reduce no-shows by patients via reminders, while patients can set another appointment even after the consultation hours,” he said.
BookDoc apps can be downloaded through Apps Store for Apple users and Google Playstore for Android users.
